I am very proud to showcase this app for WWF, for which I produced & contributed some images in cooperation with the nice folks at the AKQA Washington office, who made a beautiful iPad app. It is called WWF Together and is online now. A few of the images that I shot for the app can be seen here.

With the app, you can interact and learn more about some of the worlds most amazing and unfortunately endangered species. Some of my animal portraits are used to represent the various species.

This spring, I have been shooting a lot of images for Naja Munthe, cofounder of Munthe plus Simonsen and a good client of mine. A lot of these images were made for this new book, “Fashionable Living”, that she has made about her company, fashion and living.

I had the pleasure of shooting with Naja on several occasions for this project, including at the Munthe plus Simonsen show at the Copenhagen fashion week in February. Over the spring months we shot in Naja’s home, office and summerhouse, making the images for the living and company sections of the book.

In these digital ages, it is always a great satisfaction to see one’s work in print instead of on a screen. And leafing through a big coffee table book like this one, seeing my images over several spreads, is warming my photographer heart indeed.

I am proud to be a big part of this book, in the company of several of my esteemed colleagues.

The book can be ordered from the publisher here.

This time I have a quick software tip for some of you out there on the interwebs.

Those of you who like me, are waiting eagerly to be able to tether the Nikon D4 and D800 to Capture One Pro on your mac’s, should check out the SofortBild app.

I admit that I might be late to the game with this one, but I only managed to make time to test this setup yesterday. It works by connecting the camera to the Mac or Macbook with a USB cable, opening the Sofortbild app to tether to this, and finally setting the folder you are shooting to, as a hot folder in Capture One.

It’s not the most reliable setup, but if you like checking you work on a laptop screen instead of the little screen on the back of you Nikon, it will be a welcome solution until Phase One updates their software.

For those of you not using Capture One, Sofortbild is a nice, free app on it’s own, if you want to be able to shoot with your camera tethered without paying for Capture One or Nikon’s own Camera Control app.

An added bonus is that you get to use camera live view on the Mac’s screen for setting up your shot. That is something I have been missing every time I shoot my Nikons in the studio.

Last week we did a shot for AU, the university of Aarhus, Denmark. They wanted a graphic and humoristic image for their promotion material for their exchange student program.

The result is the above shot, a composite of a train stop south of Aarhus, with a local student in front of a backdrop from the mojave desert in Nevada, USA. It was never meant to look real, just done to make it more fun & a little exotic.

A big thanks to Midtjyske Jernbaner railway company for letting us use their train stop.

Gear used was the Nikon D800 w. 16-35 lens, a 13 inch Macbook Pro, a profoto 7b with a beatydish to separate her from the sky and of course photoshop

I had the pleasure of doing a collaboration with Schön! Magazine on a small editorial in their issue 17, involving a few images from one of my personal projects, the animal portraits.

5 animals where used to symbolize 5 perfumes, designed by fashion houses Lacoste, Versace, Swarovski, Hermès & Bulgari. The magazine is out now and can be bought online here, or in a shop near you.

A big thanks goes out to Marta Tucci at Schön! and Raoul Keil, the editor in chief at Schön! Magazine. Also a big shoutout to Mette Husted, who was kind enough to do production on a few of these shoots!

Since the beginning of this year, we have been busy with a lot of exciting projects for our clients, but my animal portraits project have also been getting a great deal of attention from around the globe. It really makes me happy to hear from people all over the world telling me how much they like these images, and I have recently been able to shoot some more for the project, bringing me closer to the goal of printing a book about the series.

Some people have asked me if they can buy prints of these images. I am currently in the process of working out a solution with a partner, and I will post it here when that is finalized.

The last week I have been playing around with the new Final Cut Pro X, and I have to say its growing on me. The new interface is so fast and intuitive. It will definitely speed up my workflow quite a bit! Looking through material to edit from is lightning fast and background rendering is almost unnoticed on a decent mac.
While playing around with FCP, I used some material I shot with with a small handheld dslr this summer, while at a shoot with my colleague Peter Ravnsborg. The result became a quick backstage video from the shoot.

Thursday the 17th of november this week, the book FRI og RIG (danish for Free & Rich) will be released for sale.

It’s a book about entrepreneurship, with insights from 12 successful danish entrepreneurs, aimed at those seeking inspiration for their own life.

I have been lucky enough to be a part of the production of the book and to meet & portray DJ Morten Breum, Jesper Buch, the founder of JustEat, Solveig Eike of Plasticfantastic, Jens Kristian Andersen of Eventdispense, Signe Møller of 100% To the Children, Christina Hembo from Christina Watches, Naja Munthe, cofounder of Muntheplussimonsen, Jesper Øhlenslæger who founded M2 Huse, Sofia Manning, artist Maria Rubinke and David Fellah from Designit.

See the portraits I did for the book here. The book can be bought here from the 17th.
